Space Atlas

Terms of Use

Last updated: 2 November 2026 1. Operator and agreement Space Atlas is provided by [TO COMPLETE: legal name] (tax ID [TO COMPLETE: NIF/CIF]), [TO COMPLETE: postal address], Spain (contact: [TO COMPLETE: contact email]). By creating an account you agree to these Terms of Use and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 16 years old. If you use Space Atlas for an organisation, you confirm you may accept these Terms on its behalf. 2. The service Space Atlas provides a directory and map of the global space ecosystem, comparisons and research tools. Public information can be incomplete or outdated. Verification dates indicate review timing, not a guarantee. Information is not financial, investment, legal, safety or travel advice. Confirm details with the relevant organisation before acting. 3. Accounts and acceptable use Keep credentials secure and provide accurate account details. Do not misuse the service, submit unlawful or misleading material, infringe rights, attempt unauthorised access or disrupt other users. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these Terms. Except for urgent security or legal reasons, we will tell you why in advance and give you a chance to respond or reply by email; you can still request your personal data afterwards. You can delete a non-admin account from My dashboard → Account; admins must contact the operator. 4. Contributions, intellectual property and maps You remain responsible for the content and sources you submit. You grant us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive and perpetual licence to review, edit, publish and include your factual contributions in Space Atlas and its datasets. Contributions are moderated before publication; we may decline or edit them, especially if unsourced. Organisations can ask for corrections at any time. Entity names, trademarks, logos and linked material belong to their respective owners. Satellite imagery: Sentinel-2 cloudless by EOX IT Services GmbH (contains modified Copernicus Sentinel data). Labels/borders: © OpenStreetMap contributors via OpenFreeMap. Night imagery: NASA Earth Observatory/GIBS. Third-party map imagery and data are used under their providers' licences and keep their attribution; images you export include the required credits and must keep them. The Space Atlas database, compilation and software are protected by intellectual property and database rights. 5. Paid plans and payments
  • Plans. Space Atlas offers a Free plan and paid Pro and Business plans. The features and monthly allowances of each plan are shown on the Plans & pricing page (/pricing) and may be improved over time; any reduction of a paid plan's core features applies from your next billing period after notice.
  • Prices and taxes. Prices are in euros and include VAT where VAT applies. Business customers may enter a VAT number at checkout. Business includes 3 seats; extra seats are charged per seat.
  • Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to your payment method at the start of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel.
  • Renewal and price changes. Subscriptions renew automatically. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email of any price change, which applies from your next renewal; you can cancel before it takes effect.
  • Cancellation. Cancel at any time from My dashboard → Plan & usage → Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep paid features until then and are not charged again.
  • Right of withdrawal and refunds. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may withdraw from your first purchase of a paid plan within 14 days of payment and receive a full refund by contacting us. Apart from this and any rights you have under applicable law, payments for periods already started are not refunded. Plan changes made in the subscription portal are prorated by Stripe.
  • Failed payments. If a payment fails, Stripe retries it for a limited time. If it still cannot be collected, the subscription ends and the account returns to the Free plan.
  • After a plan ends. Your account, favorites and saved data remain available under the Free plan's limits. For Business, team members lose paid access when the organisation's subscription ends.
  • Operator details. The seller is [TO COMPLETE: legal name] (tax ID [TO COMPLETE: NIF/CIF]), [TO COMPLETE: postal address], Spain. Billing questions and withdrawal requests: [TO COMPLETE: contact email].
6. Full dataset (one-off purchase)
  • What you buy. An Excel workbook with every organisation, location, revenue figure, funding round and market figure in Space Atlas, and the right to download the latest version as many times as you like for 12 months from payment. The price (€49.99, VAT included where applicable) is a one-off charge, not a subscription.
  • Licence. For your own internal use and analysis, or your organisation's. You may not resell, redistribute, publish or share the dataset, in whole or in substantial part, or use it to build a competing directory or database. You may publish figures, charts and short extracts derived from it citing "Space Atlas (spaceatlas.space)".
  • Data quality. Data comes from public sources cited per record and is never estimated. It may contain gaps or outdated entries and is provided as is; corrections are welcome through "Suggest an edit".
  • Withdrawal. The dataset is digital content supplied immediately. At checkout you request immediate access and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once the download is available. If you have not downloaded it yet, you may still withdraw within 14 days for a full refund. Your statutory rights for faulty digital content are not affected.
7. Availability, liability and termination We aim to keep Space Atlas available and accurate, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; planned maintenance and outages may happen. Directory information is provided for research and is not guaranteed to be complete or current. To the extent the law allows, our liability for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits, data or opportunities) is excluded, and our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent, gross negligence or personal injury, nor to your mandatory consumer rights. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time; we may end the service with 30 days' notice, refunding any prepaid period not yet used. 8. Governing law and disputes These Terms are governed by Spanish law. Please contact [TO COMPLETE: contact email] first; we try to resolve complaints within 30 days. Business customers submit to the courts of the operator's registered seat. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory law of their country of residence and may go to the courts of their place of residence or use an approved alternative dispute-resolution body. 9. Changes The Terms carry a version recorded with your acceptance timestamp. When the version changes, signed-in users are asked to review and accept it again. We give at least 30 days' notice of material changes affecting paid plans. If you do not accept new Terms, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account; changes do not apply retroactively to periods already paid.
